My Grandad what a man you was loved by all who knew you. I remember the day you left us i remember that weekend you you took your last breath so well Doctor Smith told us you only had the weekend all your family were around you. I was thinking how was i going to cope with life without you you were more like my dad than my grandad after living with you from being 8 you brought me up as your own and i treasure the memories i have of living with you and Gran. I made you a promise that i would look after Grandma when you slipped away and i am carrying that promise out to you still. I remember when you told me you was ill it was the worst thing ever i remember going to bed every night and praying to god not to take you just yet wanting to spend every special precious moment i could with you i remember waking up 1 early morning crying and i had the most awfull dream and rang Grandma crying on the phone at 6.30 only to find it was thankfully just a dream. I remember the day i 1st wagged school and as soon as i returned home you knew as you knew me so well you shook the shit out of me as you said at the time lol and grouded me for a week and yes there was no bribing you you carried the week out. Me and Sarah often laugh now at the time you threw her out the house for eating your m&ms you were deadly serious and would let her back in. You were a great sun worshipper and would lie there all day must be where i get it from. I laugh when people knew you by the man with the big dog meaning Carl or the 1 with that mad white dog meaning Si you always was a great animal lover. Me and Gran talk about you lots and laugh at some of the things you use to say and the jokey things you use to do like when you use to put the slippers or shoes on your knees whilst knelt down. The gadgets you use to make to entertain us like the sticks for fishing rods and magnets on the end. Your favourite swear words was always bleeding or bastard. You knew you great grandson Jake as you gave me the name for him i now have another child who you would just adore Gran says hes the spit of me and my dad. 1 thing i know you would be happy about is me and dad are talking and probably closer than we ever were i know you would of wanted this because you said you wanted us to make up. I miss you soooo much and would give anything to have you back but for now until we meet again your memory lives on and i will always talk about you and tell Jake and Mason the things you did said and what a special great Grandad they had. Love you always forgetting you never your Grandaughter Cheryl. xxxx
